Diffusion Bonded Crystals Diffusion Bonded Crystals (composite laser rods) consist of one laser crystal and one or two undoped material. They’re combined by optical contact method and further bonded under high temperature. Diffusion Bonded Crystals can effectively decrease thermal lensing effect considerably, therefore it’s very suitable for high power laser applications. ADVANTAGES ● high damage threshold ● improve beam quality ● decrease thermal effect ● improve efficiency ● compact size
