In addition to traditional optical applications, such as optical windows, lenses, it can also be made into a variety of sapphire rods. Sapphire Rods are widely used in a range of applications.The sapphire rod can be made with all surfaces polished for optical and wear applications or with all surfaces fine grind (un-polished) to serve as an insulator.
